Taping Knives
Warner offers a wide range of Taping Knives. Typically the 6" and 8" knives are used for setting tape and the 10"­12" blades are used for applying finish coats. Blades are supported with aluminum or steel backings.
Taping Knife Features:

  • Heat-treated and annealed for blade tension and toughness.
  • Blue steel blades are polished to high luster for ease of application and cleanup.

Professional Aluminum Backing Plate

Aluminum backing plates provide blade rigidity while making these knives up to 40% lighter than standard taping knives. They provide greater comfort and reduce fatigue. Hollow poly handle is molded to the extruded aluminum backing plate so it can't come loose. Blade flares out at edges to reach into corners. Blue steel or stainless steel blades. Lightweight poly handles.


Aluminum Backing Plate

Knives feature an extruded aluminum backing plate and shaped wood handles which are securely riveted to a blue steel or stainless steel blade.



Blue Steel, Steel Backing Plate

Recommended for the most challenging conditions. These knives feature a steel backing plate spot-welded to the knife blade. Blade can't work loose or lose its spring. Knives feature blue steel blades and contour wood handles for added comfort.


Molded Backing Plates

High-impact handle of molded plastic makes these knives an excellent value. 40% lighter than ordinary knives. Stainless or blue steel blades.
